The 5 Most Instagrammable Spots Around Vegas
Wow Vegas is a content creator’s dream! The entire Strip is full of photo ops on every corner. The big 5 are the landmarks, Luxor’s Sphinx & Pyramid, NY’s Statue of Liberty & Skyline, Paris’s Eiffel Tower & Arc de Triomphe, High Wheeler Ferris Wheel, and the Fabulous Las Vegas Sign! A few of my favorites are the Statue of Liberty, the Sphinx and the World’s Largest Coke Bottle (50 ft tall!). Other great options are the Venetian Canals both inside and out and the Bellagio Fountain. Another personal favorite is the Garden of the Gods pool at Caesar’s Palace. Each of these places are so big that finding the perfect angle or spot is tough! Here are my best tips on getting the perfect photo!
Luxor’s Sphinx & Pyramid
Address: Luxor Resort & Casino at 3900 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119
Photo Tip: Getting a picture of the Sphinx is its full form is pretty easy! Head up to the front doors of the resort and take a left towards the tram pickup spot. Wait for the crowd to disperse and set up your tripod for a picture with the beast! Standing between its paws is the most common look and if your angle is low enough you will see the pyramid standing tall behind its guardian.
NY Statue of Liberty & Skyline
Address: New York-New York Hotel & Casino at 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Photo Tip: Best thing I can say is to have a photographer willing to get low. HA! This recreated landmark is so tall that its hard to fit it and your subject in the frame. We stood right at the base of Our Lady Liberty and did our best to capture the shot. To get to the base, you leave the NY hotel from the upper floor near the souvenir stores and take the outside escalator down. Another photo spot is the park across the street, head to the dialogue corner and get the shot with the entire skyline.
Paris’s Eiffel Tower & Arc de Triomphe
Address: Paris Las Vegas at 3655 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Photo Tip: The Eiffel Tower is definitely the most difficult landmark to snap the perfect picture of. During the day is easier on your camera settings as the lights are overpowering once the sun sets. The Bellagio or Cosmopolitan are your best bets of finding a spot enough distance from the base of the tower to see the very top. The Arc de Triomphe however has the perfect glow at night and makes for a beautiful backdrop! Head into the circle drive of the Paris hotel to the middle of the median flower beds for the best spot to pose. But be very cautious of traffic as you are crossing over to the median as you are off the sidewalk.
High Wheeler Ferris Wheel
Address: 3545 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Photo Tip: The Ferris wheel is huge and the easiest spot to find. Whether you are on the shops cobblestone side or the street side, you will have a clear shot. The only issue will be the crowds of people so make sure to go early in the day.
Fabulous Las Vegas Sign
Address: 5200 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89119
Photo Tip: The absolute most iconic picture to take in Las Vegas is with the sign! Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas greets you on the Boulevard as you make your way into the strip. The most surprising part of the location is that it is in the middle of the road on the median, however there is a turf base in front for the best angle. The area is fenced off and they have a designated parking lot. The lines get long and there is no shade so go early and prepare to wait a bit.
Seven Magic Mountains
Address:S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89054
Photo Tip: Head out to the art installation just outside the city and capture the larger than life boulder-stacks! The best time to capture your photos, without tons of crowds, is to go during dinner time. This will give you the nice golden hour look to your pics!
